About the Ontological Coaching Institute
 

Ontological Coaching Institute is an international training and consulting company that specialises in the application of Ontology for the holistic development of coaches, leaders and managers. We do this by partnering with individuals and organisations in deep learning, coaching and leadership.

Founded by Alan Sieler in 1996, the Ontological Coaching Institute provides coaching and consulting services in globally. Alan is the author of the highly acclaimed four volume series Coaching to the Human Soul: Ontological Coaching and Deep Change that has sold in over 45 countries.

Our coaches and consultants are all qualified Ontological Practitioners, having graduated from the ICF accredited Certified Ontological Coaching and Leadership Program. This is backed by extensive leadership and management experience in a wide range of organisational and business settings.

Australia

Alan Sieler

Alan is the founder and Director of the Ontological Coaching Institute. As a world leader in ontological coaching he has written extensively on the relevance of Ontology to living, working, learning and coaching. His professional experience in education, training and consulting is extensive, having worked with multinational corporations and national organisations from Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States and South Africa. Alan focuses on the communication processes that build a collaborative and high performance organisational culture. His work as a consultant, workshop leader and executive coach is solidly grounded and highly engaging.

Mark Raymond

Mark's expertise is in the interpersonal area of organizational performance. He works with leaders and managers in organizations to support them to be more focused and effective leaders, by helping facilitate clarity on their strategy or what they want to achieve and to implement their strategy through their people. He brings three perspectives when working with clients - the business/commercial environment; how to create an environment where people develop and perform at their best; and the needs of the organizations clients and stakeholders. Mark's work as a consultant, coach and facilitator is highly engaging and practical - based on a deep understanding of ontological coaching and other leadership principles and experience in working in organizations and dealing with the day to day issues that arise.

Anne Courtney

Anne works with individuals, teams and organizations as a coach, leadership consultant and retreat facilitator. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation and a certified Ontological Coach.  Anne works with managers, teams and organizations who appreciate that the quality of their human interaction has a direct impact on their ability to effectively meet their organizational purpose.She has been involved in professional coach training since 2003 and is currently a supervisor for the Certified Ontological Coaching and Leadership Program. Anne has over 25 years experience of working in the community sector as a manager, social worker, youth worker and in community development roles.

Oliver Love

Working with individuals and groups, Oliver utilises ontological coaching principles in facilitation and coaching to create new possibilities in performance and communication. His respectfully challenging and calm manner, combined with his ability to draw on relevant business application, helps participants ground their own learning opportunities.

Karen White 

Karen White works with individuals, teams and organisations, supporting people to achieve the results they want and enabling them to be their best selves. She has worked with blue chip companies locally, in Africa and internationally. Karen is an ICF Master Certified Coach.  In addition to individual and team Executive Coaching, she co-leads the 18 month Ontological coach training program in South Africa and the USA.

Karen has been coaching for 18 years following a career in the corporate world for 20 years.  Working in corporate she realized that many people were surviving and not thriving, seeing work as a means to an end.  She realized there was an opportunity to support others derive meaning and enjoy their lives whatever their context and not wait until they had "arrived" somewhere else.

Julia Bonadei-Thorns

Julia Bonadei is an internationally trained professional Ontological Coach, Integral and Systemic Team Coach and a PCC credentialled coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF).  As the founder of Wide Open Spaces, a full-service coaching and leadership development company based in Johannesburg, Julia partners with leaders and their teams in SA and internationally to catalyze positive systemic shifts that make for more collaborative and conscious team and organizational cultures. 

 

As a result of her diverse business experience in HR and commercial property entrepreneurship, Julia has a well-rounded insight and understanding of the complexities and challenges facing leaders today and this flows into her coaching and leadership development approach.  Her signature approach to working with leaders is underpinned by having them observe their ‘Way of Being’, the invisible driver of all human behaviour and communication.  Julia’s clients describe working with her as transformational.

Michelle Edwards

Michelle is an ontologically trained professional coach who coaches individuals at different levels of organisations, ranging from young graduates starting their careers, through to executives in senior leadership positions. She partners with organisations to design and facilitate leadership development programs that suit different organisational needs. Michelle also works with private individuals looking to overcome various challenges and plays an important role in the ontological coach training program.

She supports her clients to become skillful at taking care of what matters most to them. This is a process of learning about themselves and their Way of Being in the world. It is an exploration of what lies behind how they observe and perceive different situations in life and how that impacts on their success, happiness and what they see as possible for themselves.

Jeremy Stunt

 Jeremy works with senior business leaders on transformational change using ontological methodologies, assisting them be more resourceful and resilient in challenging personal and professional environments. .He has a strong interest in supporting others to work strategically and with greater personal authenticity. Jeremy has been an executive coach since 2009 after transitioning out of a corporate career where he had held CFO/COO roles
